Annie Lockwood is a multi-hyphenate with a passion for story, pop culture, and comedy. Hailing from Atlanta and currently residing in Brooklyn, she started her trek through the entertainment industry by working as a PA, and currently, is a television writer and producer. With a passion for comedy, Annie started writing and performing all over the southeast for nearly ten years. Her stand-up career has taken her all over the country: performing in comedy festivals, opening for headliners like Rachel Feinstein, and working at clubs and independent venues of all sizes. Some of the highlights in recent time is performing for the Atlanta Jewish Film Festival for over five hundred people, and having a residency at Star Bar for Rotknee Presents: Monday Night Comedy.
Merging her passion for comedy writing and film/tv production, Annie has worked on an array of tv shows like briefly writing for WWE’s Monday Night Raw, or a story producer for shows on Netflix, Bravo, and Investigation Discovery. With WWE, she worked alongside talent to propel their story by writing scripts on the fly. A significant portion of her duties was to direct talent in backstage and in-ring promos. As a story associate producer, executive producers relied on her for concise logging and network-loved hot sheets for scenes, and entrusted her enough to shoot on producer-cam amid breaking story.
With slew of unique and varied shows under her belt, she knows how to tell rich and nuanced story, and keep to the vision and tone of the project.
